Welcome to Razzamataz Maidstone.
Razzamataz Theatre Schools was launched in 2000 and achieved national recognition in 2007 after a memorable appearance on BBC’s Dragons’ Den, winning the investment from Duncan Bannatyne.
Razzamataz Maidstone launched in September 2011 and has grown from strength to strength. Offering tuition from ages 2 – 18 yrs we pride ourselves on top quality tuition at affordable prices. The school was delighted to be awarded ‘Head Office Team Choice Award’ in January 2019′, ‘Spotlight Award’ in January 2017 ‘Franchise of the Year’ in February 2014, ‘Brand Ambassadors of the Year’ in February 2013, Best New Business in Medway and Maidstone in 2012, ‘Best New Franchise’ in 2011 – these national accolades are all testament to the hard work, passion, enthusiasm and dedication of both our students and teaching team.
The students also achieved national recognition winning 1st place in the National Kent and Vocal Dance Challenge, Students regularly perform in the local community with performances at The Brook Theatre, Central Theatre and as part of the professional pantomime cast at the Hazlitt Theatre. The school are proud of their West End Team who have performed in Her Majesties Theatre, home of Phantom of the Opera as part of the Razzamataz Gala Performance.
Students have secured roles in shows such as Motown the Musical West End, Matilda the Musical UK Tour. Students have also secured places to further their professional full time performing arts training at Sylvia Youngs, The Brit School, Reynold Performing Arts Academy and D&B Performing Arts. Young students can also be seen on Cbeebies Let’s Play, CiTV’s Scrambled and various television commercials.
Alongside their professional training from industry professionals, the school is often visited by guest performers, including Nickelodeon Jnr Pop Group – ‘Go!Go!Go!’, One Direction choreographer and dancer James Robinson as well as performers from The USA Motown Show, Les Miserables West End Show, Grease, Happy Days National Tour, Cats West End Show, Ghost West End show, Wicked West End show to name a few!
Our most recent performances were in Disneyland Paris where our students performed their take on the classic Mary Poppins in the Dome Theatre and performed as part of the pre parade down Main St USA* and at the indigo 02 with our unique piece called “Keep Calm and Carry On” which was recently awarded “Best Overall Piece” at the Rising Stars competition in March 2019.
